Our first night at La Grande Maison in the Loire River Valley was perfect. We were a little tired from traveling. Sue and Micaela prepared a perfect meal for Nancy and I. We were the only ones at La Grande Maison, which was even more perfect. Thank you for a delicious and memorable meal!
Note from Micaela on the delicious wine/goodies during dinner: Thanks for some great foodie photos from Helen @travel_laughter – A delicious selection of wines sampled included a Coteaux du Layon from Domaine de Mihoudy in Aubigné sur Layon, a 2009 Anjou Blanc from Rene Mosse, a 2007 Chenin Blanc from Francois Chidaine & a 2006 Anjou Villages produced by Christophe Daviau at Domaine Bablut. Cheese selection included : Tete de Moine, Comte, Fresh Goats Cheese served with walnuts & almonds from the garden and Roquefort served with Anjou honey. – must go now as reading this is making me very hungry!
