Patriarche Pere and Fils Winery- Beaune, FR
This year the Hospice de Beaune wine auction was the weekend of November 16, 2012. We were in Beaune for the festivities on Sunday. Some of the local wineries open up their caves and have wine tastings. We had purchased two wine tasting/cave tours. Our first wine tasting of the day was to Patriarche Pere and Fils. I should have written down or taken pictures of all the wines we tasted. At the end of the tour they were talking to us about how we could ship to the US. Then we said we lived in PA and even in France they knew we couldn’t ship there. We were amazed that even the wineries in France knew that. We had a blast! This trip is where I fell in love with Burgundy wines. I didn’t realize I like French Pinot Noir’s till this trip. Grecie joined us for this tour. If you don’t know Grecie is a stuffed elephant that I travel with to bring awareness to Brain Cancer.
