As I mentioned in a previous blog, we really don’t make plans for restaurants to visit till we get to our destination. We were told the restaurants around the corner from our apartment in Avignon were good. We went to Michelin restaurant by accident. We did make reservations at La Fourchette for our last night. The only reason we made reservations was because the restaurants were busy and wanted to make sure we had place. We started the meal in true French style with a glass of champagne and we enjoyed Chateaunef-du-Pape for our wine. Since I had fish, I enjoyed a white one. Until I visited Rhône region, I didn’t realize that there were white Chateaunef-du-Pape wines. We had a great meal and lots of laughs. We were too full to have dessert!
