We spent our first full day in France in Avignon. Avignon is located in Southern France and was still experiencing HOT days. We slept in, which felt great, and explored the city. We found out something new about restaurants in France (at least outside of major cities). They don’t open till noon, unlike in the states when you can get lunch at 11 am. It gave me a chance to take some pictures and we were able to get our bearings to the important things food and shopping and where they were located! Avignon definitely proved to be the perfect place for our home-base.
