Domaine Saint Amant was the last winery that Phillip from Rhone Wine Holidays had for us to visit during our wine tour. It was a great way to finish our wine tour. I highly recommend Rhone Wine Holidays for your visit to the Rhone Valley. Everything was taken care of and we didn’t have to think about anything except enjoying the wineries, food and people. We will be back for another tour!

Domaine Saint Amant is located in the Beaumes de Venise AOC. It is at the altitude of 1,640 feet and is the highest winery in the Rhone Valley. The views were amazing! Our winery tour and tasting was conducted by owner/winemaker Camille Nosworthy. The winery is known for it’s Viognier wine and it was delicious. Harvest had begun at the Domaine, so we really appreciated that Camille took the time for our visit. One of the things that I have learned during our wine tours is not to not pre-judge the types of wine or grapes. I realized this a few years ago before we visited Burgundy. Prior to the trip, I would have said I didn’t like Chardonnay’s. Now French Chardonnay’s are one of my favorites. I have found it is more about the wine making style. Prior to my visit to Domaine Saint Amant, I would have said the same thing about the Viognier grape. After my visit, I am open to trying the Viognier grape.
