I was in Paris with my sister for Thanksgiving Day 2012.  We were excited for dinner at our cousins, she is a great cook.  During the day, we went exploring to the Christmas Market.  It had just opened the night before.  The market is located at the opposite end of the Arc de Triomphe.  We had fun walking and exploring the stands.  We were excited to find vin chaud (mulled wine), which warmed us up.  There was a local French artisan section that I will feature in a future blog.

UPDATE: In 2017, the mayor of Paris disbanded the Christmas market on the Champs Élysées.

  1. I love the Christmas markets. Spent a Christmas in Prague and can’t wait to come back and do it again! Your photos from Paris look great…will have to try theirs one of these years! This year I am hoping for Germany!
