What comes to mind when you think of Provence?

Lavender fields, beaches, amazing food, Rosé wine, and quaint villages are just a few! When we started planning our trip to Provence, we thought we would visit when the lavender fields were in bloom. That didn’t work out on this trip. The area is beautiful in all seasons. I am confident that we will see them in bloom in the future. The beginning of September is a great time to visit Provence. The weather is still warm, grapes are still on the vines and crowds are less. Our last stop with Emily from Your Private Provence was to Abbaye Notre Dame de Sénanque. When you think of the lavender fields in bloom this the place with the pictures. Even when the lavender isn’t in bloom, the Abbaye is a beautiful place to visit.
