I love traveling and exploring where I live. Today with my parents, I visited Graeme Park, a historic gem nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania. Managed by the historical and museum commission of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Graeme Park offers a captivating glimpse into the region’s rich colonial history. Despite our visit coinciding with Labor Day and the closure of the buildings, we reveled in the park’s natural beauty spread across 42 acres. The highlight, the Keith House, stands as the solitary surviving residence of a colonial Pennsylvania Governor, steeped in stories and secrets waiting to be discovered. While the house remained out of reach this time, it only fueled my curiosity, leaving me eager to return for an in-depth exploration. As we wandered through the grounds, the sight of the beautiful barn added to the charm of the park, serving as a rustic reminder of a bygone era. The park’s tranquil ambiance, tucked away in the midst of a bustling area, came as a delightful surprise, especially considering its proximity to my parents’ home.
