I have worked with Vector Marketing since I was in college, and it feels incredible to reflect on how this journey has shaped my life. When I answered the ad in the newspaper, I didn’t expect to still be working with Vector Marketing and Cutco Cutlery for the past 34 years; it’s truly astonishing how time flies. Yes, classified ads in the newspaper is how you looked for work in the ’90s, a stark contrast to the digital age we live in now. I know I made the right choice when, after 30 years, I still get genuinely excited about Cutco. Although I don’t actively sell, I do have loyal customers who continue to purchase from me regularly. It is still a joy to share the benefits of Cutco products with others, as I have been to the Cutco Cutlery factory many times, relishing the opportunity to see where the magic happens. However, it has been nine years since my last visit, and I fondly remember the experiences I’ve had there. Since I was on vacation in the area, I decided to bring my parents for a tour, eager to show them the place that has played such an essential role in my life and career. I look forward to reminiscing with them about my experiences and fostering new memories together as we explore the factory that has been so integral to my professional journey.

It was great to walk the factory floor and see Cutco in production, witnessing the intricate processes that go into crafting each piece of cutlery. You can genuinely see the pride that we take in the production of Cutco, as each skilled artisan meticulously shapes and sharpens the knives, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and performance. The atmosphere buzzes with dedication and enthusiasm, reflecting our commitment to excellence in every knife we produce.
Spraue’s Maple Farms
I had asked a couple of people at Cutco where we should go for lunch, and a couple of them had enthusiastically recommended Sprague’s in Portville, NY. Intrigued by their positive remarks, I decided to give it a try. As soon as we arrived, we loved the the charming atmosphere and welcoming staff. The food was simply delicious, exceeding my expectations in every way. I was particularly thrilled to discover they offered Gluten Free pancakes, which are always hard to find. The combination of great food, attentive service, and a cozy atmosphere made for an enjoyable dining experience that I won’t soon forget. It’s safe to say that Sprague’s has now become one of my favorite lunch spots to visit in the area, and I look forward to returning soon to explore more of their menu options.
