This week, I had the inspiration to post photos of the moon throughout 2026. As I take photos of the moon during the year, I will upload them with the location to provide a unique perspective on this celestial body. Each image will capture the moon’s various phases, showcasing its beauty against diverse landscapes, whether it’s the serene glow over a tranquil lake or the dramatic backdrop of a bustling city skyline. Looking forward to sharing the inspiration throughout the year.
Wolf Moon- Warrington and Doylestown Pennsylvania– January 2nd/3rd
The new year kicked off with the stunning Wolf Moon, illuminating the night sky in a brilliant display. I truly love being able to witness the moon during Golden Hour from my parents’ in Warrington, PA. Then it was especially nice to see the same celestial beauty reflected over The County Theater in Doylestown, where the historic architecture seemed to reach out to the lunar glow, creating a picturesque scene that felt almost surreal.

This morning, I glanced up and saw the moon, its glow accentuating the beauty of the day, casting a soft light that danced on the surrounding landscape. The sight was so captivating that I felt compelled to pull over to the side of the road, not wanting to miss this fleeting moment. As I took a deep breath, the crisp air filled my lungs, heightening my senses and deepening my appreciation for the serenity around me. I reached for my phone and snapped a couple of photos, attempting to capture not just the visual splendor but also the overwhelming sense of peace that enveloped me in that magical moment.

Loving the waxing gibbous as we get closer to the full moon, with its luminous glow and intricate shadows dancing across the night sky. The beauty of this celestial phase always captivates me, reminding me of the cycles of nature and time. These photos were taken at my parent’s house, where the view of the horizon opens up beautifully, providing the perfect backdrop to admire the moon’s ascent as it lights up the landscape around us. It’s moments like these that make me appreciate the wonders of the universe and the simple joy of sharing such experiences with family.

My Mom loves it when she sees the moon, and her excitement is infectious. It brings me joy when I see her get excited about seeing the moon. We often find ourselves sitting together outside, wrapped in blankets, sharing moments of warmth under the vast sky, marveling at the moon’s phases and how it illuminates our world with a soft, silvery light that seems to connect us to something greater. Those evenings become cherished memories, as we laugh and talk, deepening our bond, and I can’t help but feel grateful for these magical moments we share as we both gaze in awe at the beauty of the night.

Full Moon- Doylestown, PA- February 1st
Since it is brutally cold in Bucks County right now, I wasn’t planning on capturing the full moon tonight. The biting chill in the air seemed to be a perfect excuse to stay indoors, wrapped in a blanket with a hot cup of cocoa. However, I am glad now that I had to run out for an errand, as it gave me the unexpected opportunity to admire the winter sky. As I drove through the quiet streets, the shimmering glow of the moon caught my eye. I was about to capture the Snow Moon around Doylestown a little bit, mesmerized by its bright, silvery light reflecting off the freshly fallen snow, transforming the landscape into a magical winter wonderland that I couldn’t resist documenting.

We had a “warm” week in Doylestown, with clear skies that seemed to stretch on forever. Each evening, I found myself appreciating the serene beauty of our surroundings, especially as the waxing gibbous moon rose majestically over the landscape. There’s something incredibly captivating about the moon when it’s set against the charming backdrop of The County Theater. It reminded me of how fortunate we are to witness such natural wonders, providing a sense of peace and connection to our community as the stars twinkled above and the warm breezes whispered by.
