In May, I was in Monterey, CA. It was my first time there and I LOVED the area. There is so much to do. Earlier this year, the area’s wine trail was listed as a must do. So, I was excited to see what they were writing about. They have made it so easy to do wine tasting. From my hotel, I took a bus (the grapevine express) to Carmel Valley for $2.50. Many of the wineries have tasting rooms there. The wines reminded me of Burgundy. The area specializes in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It was a great afternoon. I visited Talbott’s Winery, Chock Rock and Parsonage. I didn’t taste at Cowgirl Winery, but thought it was a cool tasting room next to Talbott’s. It was a fun afternoon!
