When most people think of a Gondola, they think of taking a boat ride in Venice.  They don’t think of ride up a mountain.  That is what the Banff Gondola ride is in Banff, Alberta.  At the end of September, I was visiting the Canadian Rockies and we took the Gondola up the mountain.  It was so beautiful and an easy way to see the views.   For those that like to hike there are lots of hikes you can take to get you to the top.
