Yes, the Eiffel is open in the rain. One of the things on our list to see in Paris was the Eiffel Tower. Our cousin gave us a great hint: purchase tickets prior to visiting Paris. We had tickets for Sunday morning and when we woke up, it was raining…..let the adventure begin! There was 20k race starting at the same time as our tickets. The base of the Eiffel Tower was start/finish line and was filled with thousands of runners. Here is what it looked like from the mid-point of the tower.
Eiffel Tower in the rain was a fun experience. We realized our umbrellas weren’t big enough, so we now have cool Paris umbrellas! Thank goodness the store in the Eiffel had some for sale!

We were excited to go to the top of the tower and see the city. We stood in the line for 45 minutes! Here is what we saw…..nothing!
You can see how much cloud cover was around the top of the tower!
Hint: Definitely buy tickets prior to visiting the Eiffel Tower. Saves time in line. However, you might want to combine that with the weather report!!! What is cool though is that I have a blog about the Eiffel Tower in the rain.
“Travel with Laughter”
It was refreshing to see rainy photos from Eiffel by way of variety, yes, indeed. Some of Your photos are very artistic and I love them.
Have a wonderful day!

Thank you! It is funny how I traveled on this trip. I was thinking in blogs and thought not many will have rainy Eiffel pics.

When I went to Paris in 2007, it was also a cloudy day (even though it was supposed to be summer). However, it didn’t turn out that bad, because I could still go to the Eiffel tower at noon and at night (when the lights makes the tower look even more amazing). Nevertheless, I kind of like the ambience of your photographs. It looks pretty soothing seeing the Eiffel under the rain.
