What are the things that make you SMILE??!!

I was having a conversation with a friend about doing things that make you smile.  For me travel and experiencing new adventures make me smile.  You know how you feel prior to big event or trip with anticipation.  We discussed how can we create those feelings everyday with little things. Now for a majority of us we can’t take large travel trips every week.  However, when we have something to look forward to it allows us to get “through” the things we aren’t that excited to do.  It could be as simple as getting a treat from your favorite store to meeting friends/family to putting your feet in the sand.

I know when I have something planned to do that makes me happy things get accomplished faster.  The more you smile the better life is……

Little things that make me smile:

• Sunshine
• children’s laughter
• jumping in puddles
• feet in the sand
• taking pictures
• having people moved by a picture I have taken
• spending time with friends
• handwritten notes
• listening to music
• making someone smile
• conversation with a friend/family
• ice cream
• sunrise
• sunset
• watching Nebraska play football
• There are many more

How can we put more things in our life that make us smile??!!  Did you notice that these things cost little or no money?  I have also realized that making ME smile is dependent on ME and not anyone else.  It is nice when people make me smile, but not necessary for my happiness.  That is an added bonus.  If we focus more on the things that make us smile than material things, I know the world would be a better place.
