For those of us living in the Northeast it has been a wet and hot summer! Fall has begun and in Doylestown our last day of summer was gorgeous. There is a new breast cancer organization that I have become involved with since June. It is called Pine2Pink and money raised will help those in Doylestown battling breast cancer. The money will be used for three things this year: cold caps, transportation, and bills. They have started raising money with a couple of events the 20th and 22nd of September. During the month of October, Pine Street will be renamed to Pink Street in Doylestown. There was kick-off fundraising event at The County Theater with a screening of Thelma and Louise. I was asked to speak with the Keith Fenimore (co-founder of Pine2Pink) and Dr. Donna Angotti at the screening. Due to timing, we didn’t speak, but I was honored to be asked.

Until now I have blogged about own breast cancer journey over the past year. Since the beginning, I have have said I am blessed! My motto during this journey is WHOLE. HEALED. PERFECT.

It was a busy weekend in Doylestown! It was pop-up park weekend and Friday night was a perfect night for it. I went to dinner at Cross Culture and for those that know me, this is a new food for me.

Saturday’s weather was perfect! I could take that weather all year round. I went to my favorite stands at the Farmer’s Market. It is delicata squash season! It is my favorite squash and I have been buying a lot of it and freezing for the winter. I feel old saying that! LOL

Weather was perfect for breakfast at Paganini’s after the market!

A perfect end to my Saturday morning was a yoga class on the lawn of the Mercer Museum to benefit Pine2Pink! Deanna Tueful from Cornerstone Club led the class and was the best teacher I have ever had.

Local photographer Susan Supper is donating her talents and photographing the events for Pine2Pink. Here are two of her photos. Thank you!
