It has been said that Doylestown looks like Hallmark movie with how it kicks off the holiday season. The day after Thanksgiving is the lighting of the Christmas tree. This year it was hosted by Richard Curtis. He is the host of The ClassH-Room on Fox 29 and a school teacher in the Souderton school district. He did a great job! Below is the view from my apartment of Santa lighting the tree! Do you see him in the tree truck?

Last year I drove around with my parents to look at the lights and holiday decorations. We did the same thing this year a couple of times.

Peddler’s Village

I have lived in Doylestown for 18 years and this was my first time visiting Peddler’s Village for the lights. They do a great job with the lights!

National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa

Located in Doylestown is the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. Every year they do a light show with approximately 250,000 lights. Once again last year was the first time I went to see their lights with my parents. This year we went right as the sunset and it wasn’t as busy.

Peace Valley Park

Peace Valley Park isn’t that far from the Shrine, so we stopped by there to see the sunset. It is one of my favorite areas in Doylestown and beautiful in every season.

Lotus Home and Apparel

One of my favorite stores in Doylestown is Lotus Home and Apparel. The owner Erin created, in my opinion, the best windows this year. Her mom has a collection of fashion barbie dolls. She created windows around them going to and at a party. The photos don’t do the attention to detail justice.

Christmas Around Doylestown

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

On Christmas Eve, I was walking around to take photos and as I walked by St. Paul’s their service was beginning, so I decided to attend. I have been to a baptism here and was drawn to attend their Christmas Eve service. The Rev. Daniel T. Moore said a beautiful and welcoming service. It was a great time to take a breath and enjoy the reason for the season.

Merry Christmas! All photos were taken with the iPhone 11 Pro and edited with Veil Presets. Photos are the property of Travel with Laughter and can’t be used without written permission.
