August of 2021 was my first flight since March of 2020! I was heading to a friend’s wedding in Saint Lucia. My friend Emily and I bought our plane tickets early, so we got a great deal on first class there and economy on the return. It was nice to have more space with the pandemic.
Early flights are always my go to and it was strange seeing Philadelphia International Airport empty. In August of 2021, the protocol for visiting St. Lucia was a negative PCR test less than five days prior to arrival. If you are vaccinated, at the airport the Department of Health places a wrist band on you and that allows you to freely explore the island. As we navigate the pandemic, it is extremely important to check the guidelines for visiting. Things are constantly changing with protocols for travel. Usually multiple flights arrive at one time and lines can be long. We chose to do a meet and great service. They greet you as you arrive and guide you through immigration. There are many services and we used: SLASPA.

Royalton St. Lucia
A beautiful location for a beautiful couple! It was my first time to St. Lucia and a long time since I visited a Caribbean island. I loved the balcony we had and rainbows each morning.

Spinnakers Restaurant & Beach Bar
For lunch one afternoon Emily and I went to town for lunch. It was nice afternoon with good food, friends and views.

The wedding was fun, but it was a rainy day!
