In 2021, I spent Thanksgiving in Las Vegas with my parents. In November, the world was traveling in full force. Two years ago, we were in Vegas for Thanksgiving and it was not as busy as it was in 2021. We celebrated my birthday and Thanksgiving. We enjoyed our time and created some new memories.

The Venetian Resort

We stayed at the Venetian and you feel like you are Venice. It is so nice visiting hotels over Christmas. We enjoyed our stay and you don’t realize how big the resorts are until you start walking them. The distance from our room to the front desk was a half a mile.

Gondola Ride at the Venetian Resort

At the Venetian, you can ride a gondola either outside or inside. It had been 18 months since I had seen one of my co-workers. She lives in Phoenix, so she came up to visit one night. It was Fun!

Red Rock Canyon

Red Rock Canyon is a 13 mile scenic one way drive. There are many trails and areas for rock climbing. It is located about 30 minutes from our hotel and it was a beautiful day to explore. One of our favorite things to do is travel and enjoy nature.

Majordōmo Meat & Fish

Our first night at the Venetian we enjoyed dinner at Majordōmo. I only took one photo of our meal because I was happy that I was able to enjoy a meal with a colleague.

Bouchon

For those of you that follow my blog, you know that I love food and Paris. If I can’t be in Paris for my birthday, then the second best thing is a French Restaurant. We celebrated my birthday dinner at Bouchon. The service, food and attention to detail were amazing!

estiatorio Milos

There is a not a shortage of great restaurants at The Venetian and most Las Vegas hotels. I love seafood and for my birthday lunch I chose the Greek seafood restaurant. We each had something different from the 3 course lunch. It was a perfect lunch!

Matteo’s Ristorante Italiano

After reviewing the menus for Thanksgiving, we decided Matteo’s had the most traditional meal for my parents. My mom commented that it was the best turkey at a restaurant that she had ever eaten. The manager at the restaurant was one of the kindest people I have seen at a restaurant. He helped a woman, not dining, who needed some water to take some medicine. He was also very kind to those with walkers and wheelchairs in the restaurant.

Wynn Las Vegas

The Wynn, in my opinion, has the best holiday decorations. My Dad wanted some photos and I went over to the Wynn. It is absolutely beautiful!

Parasol Down

While I was at the Wynn, I stopped by the Parasol Down. The Venetian didn’t have any of their outside restaurants open, so it was nice to sit outside.
