The Douro Valley is one of the most beautiful wine regions I have visited. The tasting rooms are gorgeous, as well. Some of the best I have visited. The wine and port is just as amazing. In my opinion, the Douro Valley has it all!
My sister and I used Wine Moments and Gourmet to organize our wine tour. The one thing I am not sure I would do in the Douro is drive, so it was great to have our guides. The beautiful mountains creates some winding roads to get to the Qunitas (wineries). If you are planning a trip to the Douro, I recommend Wine Moments and Gourmet. They worked with us to help create an itinerary that fit our touring style.
We visited Quinta da Roêda, which we loved for many reasons. It was a beautiful day, so we were able to sit outside and take in the beauty while sipping port. We enjoyed the Pink Port and brought it back with us to the states. It made a great drink for a girls day at my apartment. We made champagne cocktails with it!
